Ian Millhiser of ThinkProgress, via Alternet, has a good explainer article on the two marriage equality cases heard yesterday and today by the Supreme Court, namely the constitutionality of DOMA (The Defense of Marriage Act enacted by Clinton in 1996), and California’s Proposition 8, which may give all states legalized gay marriage via the 14th amendment Equal Protection clause, with breakdowns of how the different decisions will play out. Read it at Alternet.
